Source: The New York Times 201 years later, another Edgar Allen Poe mystery For the first time in more than 60 years, the mysterious visitor who placed three roses and a half bottle of cognac on Edgar Allen Poe’s Baltimore grave missed the author’s birthday. The tradition began in 1949 and continued until this year, which would mark the 201st anniversary of the poet’s death. No one knows why the grave was skipped, but some visitors plan to keep watch for the next few years
